Youth Services
Outreach Program
The following programs will be developed and delivered by our team within the framework of an outreach program:
- Education
- Life Skills Development
- Recreational Activities
- Employment Support and Training
- Emotional Support and Regulation
Outreach programs will be available for children and young persons from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, seven days per week subject to staffing and facility availability.
Family Connections
We shall facilitate contact visits between children in care and their families. This may be part of a court order or negotiated arrangement.
Therapeutic Programs
This service shall offer:
- Anger Management
- Social Skills Development
- Victim Awareness and Education
- Positive Relationship Awareness
- Peer Influence
- Awareness Training and Education
- Other programs upon request
Development Programs
This service shall offer:
- Life Skill Awareness and Education
- Community Awareness and Engagement
- Employment Development and Support
After-Hours Support
Our team shall provide support to children and young people from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm seven days per week. It is our view that providing after hours support will give the team a better chance to divert children and young people from engaging in negative activities in our community.
Emergency Respite Services
This service shall offer:
- Life Skill Awareness and Education
- Community Awareness and Engagement
- Employment Development and Support
Residential Care Services
Residential Care provides safe and stable environments for children and young people with complex needs to thrive.
Positive Transition- Each One Teach One Youth Stream delivers Residential Care in North Queensland (Cairns and surrounding area, Townsville, and Mount Isa) for children and young people that cannot live at home. Our team provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive supports for children and young people in placements of up to 5.
Case Planning is a collaborative process between Child Safety Officers, the young person and Positive Transition- Each One Teach One Youth Stream. It is our priority that young people are at the centre of decision-making and have their voices heard.
